Overview
Description
This course examines the chemical and physical characteristics of freshwater systems including lakes, reservoirs, rivers, streams, and wetlands. The hydrologic cycle, environmental threats, and community ecological interactions will also be covered. Students will gain field experience performing abiotic measurements, learning about aquatic sampling, and identifying organisms important to these systems. Pre-requisite(s): (BIOL 1108 and BIOL 1108L) and (CHEM 1211 and CHEM 1211L) all with a minimum grade of C.
